Title: « How alarmins link interferons and breast cancer immunosurveillance : focus on plasmacytoid dendritic cells and NK cells »
Cells and soluble factors of the innate immune system have a dual role in cancer development in both tumor initiation and progression. They can, on the one hand, aid malignant transformation and tumor outgrowth and, on the other hand, prevent tumor progression. Our research aims at deciphering the role of TLR-dependent (self-derived nucleic acids) and -independent (IL-33) alarmins, in breast cancer immunity through the activation of plasmacytoid dendritic cells and NK cells, respectively.
Topic: pDCs functions and IL-33 in cancer immunosurveillance.
