We are currently accepting new post-doctoral fellows to work on two topics:
immunity and immunotherapy; or
2) autoimmunity and inflammatory diseases.
The Maya Saleh laboratory has recently relocated from McGill University in Canada to ImmunoConcEpT Lab at Bordeaux University. These topics have recently been funded by an ARC foundation grant and an IDEX senior award (3 million euros for the next 5 years).
The Saleh lab offers a rich scientific environment. Our laboratory is dedicated to biochemical and immunological investigation of innate immunity in health, inflammatory diseases and cancer. The proposed project deals with identifying cells and pathways of the innate immune
system involved in the success of cancer immunotherapies. Specific immune, metabolic and microbiome effectors will be studied using different approaches including patients’ samples, conditional KO mice, biochemistry, cellular immunology and omics technologies.
Location: ImmunoConcEpT lab, CNRS & University of Bordeaux, Pellegrin Hospital, Bordeaux, France.
The candidate is expected to:
-Conduct Research and other scholarly activities in a responsible manner
-Maintain proper documentation
-Write articles based on research results and contribute to review articles.
-Attend and present his/her research at group meetings, lab and journal club meetings, seminars and conferences hosted by our Centre and affiliated departments
– Attend and present his/her research at national and international conferences
Qualifications: Highly motivated individual with a Ph.D. degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related fields. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Recent graduates with less than 2 years of post-doctoral training and experience immunology research, and animal or tissue culture models of inflammation or cancer are preferred. Significant prior research experience and a solid
publication record are required.
